We seize their carts because they ignored our warning. Too many warning we gave them
Zeri Ronazi, Head of Palmerah Sub-district, said there were 70 street vendors controlled during the raid. Warning had been given to them several times, but the vendors still occupied the road side.
"We seize their carts because they ignored our warning. Too many warning we gave them," he said, Friday (10/30).
He added that the raid was started at 4 AM by deploying 70 joint personnel from Satpol PP, police, army, and PPSU. There were four Satpol PP trucks involved to transport the carts.
"The illegal shanties above the water channel were also demolished. It's also the answer of resident's complaint via Qlue," he added.
In the future, his side will place Satpol PP personnel to avoid street vendors selling on the road side or sidewalk.
